September 25th, 2022 Gold Star Mother’s and Family’s Day.
In 1936, Congress set aside the last Sunday in the month to honor Gold Star Mothers, and it has been observed annually ever since. It was expanded ten years ago to include and embody the loss experienced by the whole family. This year, it is commemorated September 25. As you gather during these national observances, remember, respect and honor the ultimate sacrifices that all of our Nation’s Gold Star families have endured.
